RSP, is the first public sector steel plant in the country and a steely resolve for a self reliant India Rourkela steel plant Executives Association (RSPEA) was formed in the year 1973-1974 with the prime objective of promoting the welfare of the executive Fraternity of Rourkela steel plant, a unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). It is affiliated to the steel Executives Federation of India (SEFI).

RSPEA plays a pivotal role in the protection of the interests of the Executive Fraternity and ensures that the Executives progress with their self dignity and head held high, along with all round growth of the Rourkela steel plant. RSPEA also maintains a Guest House at sector-3, Rourkela, for benefit of the Executives (https://rspea.com). 

RSPEA during the course of its journey has been led and nurtured by luminaries who worked with great passion to give shape to the Association, RSPEA has always been the backbone of SEFI. Incidentally, Shri Suresh Chandra Gupta, the first president of RSPEA was the founder chairman of SEFI, Shri Brahma Mishra, Shri Bharat Bhusan Mishra, Late Deepak Mishra, Shri Nirod Kumar Samantaray, Shri Bimal Kumar Bisi and Shri Abakash Mallick had been the major office bearers of SEFI in last two decades. 

RSPEA will always remain indebted to all the Ex-office Bearers, for whose contribution, today it occupies a place of pride amongst the Steel Fraternity.
